Using the Body Awareness Resource Network (BARN), this completely new CD-ROM interactive, multimedia system was developed with funding from the National Cancer Institute and National Institute for Drug Abuse.

BARN Multimedia-Series 1 and 2 are carefully designed for easy, flexible use. Involve your entire class with one computer and a projection screen or have students work individually or in small groups. Activity resources and student portfolios—useful for evaluation and classroom discussions—provide students with an opportunity to complete projects as they use the software. Series 2 includes:

HIV/AIDS—It's Up To You
Students learn about behaviors related to virus transmission and the psychosocial aspects and interpersonal effects of HIV/AIDS. Featured activities: It's Up To You, AIDS Maze Game, and Risk Assessment.

Alcohol and Other Drugs 2—Making Choices
Students develop decision making skills and discover the interrelationship of choice, consequence, and responsibility. Featured activities: You Bet Your Life, Stay On Track, and How Dependency Happens.

Students learn about sexual anatomy and self-care for a healthy body. Featured activities: Pregnancy and STDs, Male and Female Bodies, and Dear Teen Advisor.

Human Sexuality 2—Respect and Responsibility
Through simulation games students learn that respect is a key to positive relationships. Teens discover they are responsible for their own communication and decisions. Featured activities: Soap Operas, Tough Choices, and the Sexual Health Game.
